Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Services Provided

The Outpatient Clinic at Key Point Health Services, Inc. provides therapy and medication management to children, ages 5 and up, and adults. We currently serve clients at three clinic locations, and several schools. Individuals seeking treatment may walk into one of our clinics to schedule an intake appointment.

Adult Program

Adults are responsible for making their own intake appointment. Some exceptions are made when the adult has limitations that make this difficult or impossible for them to do so. In these cases, it is usually a parent, guardian, or care provider who would schedule the intake appointment, and this person should also attend the first appointment to aid in the completion of the initial paperwork.

Child & Adolescent Program

A parent or legal guardian must attend the initial intake appointment with their child and will need to be available for ongoing treatment and treatment planning. In Maryland, a child who is at least 16 years old or older has the same capacity as an adult to engage in outpatient mental health services. In this case, the child will complete and sign the initial paperwork and ongoing treatment planning documentation.

School Based Program

Key Point provides services in many local schools. Typically, a school staff member will refer a student to the identified Key Point therapist.

Insurance & Fees

Key Point Health Services, Inc. currently accepts Maryland Medicaid, Maryland Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and TriCare. Private pay fees are available upon request. Sliding scale fees are available for qualifying individuals.

Ineligibility

Key Point is not able to provide services for the following:

• Individuals seeking one time psychiatric evaluations

• Individuals with a primary diagnosis of substance abuse

• Individuals where the primary diagnosis is a developmental disability

• Individuals convicted of a child sex offense

• Individuals under the age of five
